The first Heel-O-Matic roping machine was developed in Utah in 1995. Its primary use was to develop the muscle memory for heeling. Since its meager beginnings the Heel-O-Matic roping machine has been transformed into the “Perfect Practice” machine for heading and heeling. Thousands of Heel-O-Matic machines have been sold world wide with our “patented hop”. We offer the only true replication of a live steer. In the fall of 2002 Heel-O-Matic unveiled our “SuperGoat” model which is a scaled down practice tool that is designed for “fun on foot”. The SuperGoat has the same hopping action as the Heel-O-Matic and is a great tool for sharpening your hand eye coordination. Never before have ropers been able to duplicate the perfect run in slow motion. With a Heel-O-Matic you can go through the five steps – position, swing, timing, delivery and dally at a pace you feel comfortable with. The life-like motion of the Heel-O-Matic Pro and Trainer enables you to slow everything down to literally a walk to concentrate on each step. “It all happens so fast!” is often heard out of the mouth of beginner ropers. With a Heel-O-Matic machine you can take away or add speed as the horse and rider are ready and work on all aspects of a run individually.
