Senior Marketing Coordinator

Job Objective:

The Heel-O-Matic Senior Marketing Coordinator plans, organizes, directs, and provides marketing leadership to achieve the company’s short-range and long-range business development objectives in the western lifestyle industry.  The Senior Marketing Coordinator will collaborate closely with the sales unit to achieve industry presence, stimulate demand for company products and monitor customer feedback.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop, implement and evaluate marketing strategies and programs, based on company objectives and market characteristics.
• Responsible for oversight and execution of sponsorships, print advertising, promotions, endorsees, website maintenance, online marketing, social media, trade shows and events.
• Work directly with industry partners, events and endorsees to ensure accurate contract fulfillment, corporate visibility.
• Collaborate with sales unit to effectively achieve company outreach goals at major industry events, including management of on-site corporate visibility and exhibits at sponsored events and key industry events.
• Produce and disseminate all company communications with sales representatives, customers and corporate partners.
• Measure effectiveness of marketing and promotional efforts (ROI) to maximize impact at minimal cost.
• Coordinate with company controller to evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, ROI and P&L projections.
• Consult with product development personnel and graphic designer(s) on product and style specifications.
• Consult with sales personnel to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand.
• Contribute to product life cycle process, including recommendations for product development, product launch plans, brand management and product sunset strategies.
• Prepare annual internal communications documents and monthly reports.
• Assist with customer inquiries, particularly related to sponsorship and marketing fields.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• College degree in journalism, marketing, communications or related field is required.
• Must be adept in use of the Internet, email, and MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience and knowledge of marketing and sales principles and methods for promoting and selling products is necessary.
• Ability to apply critical thinking; using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems is necessary.
• Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral is necessary.
• Professional appearance and strong presentation skills, in person as well as over the telephone, are required.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills are required.
• Must be able to meet the Department of Transportation (DOT) commercial motor vehicles driver requirements.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs required.
• Candidates must be able to pass a drug screening prior to hire.
• Significant travel required for trade shows and events throughout the year.

Desirable Criteria: 

• Three to five years of experience in marketing with a background in the western lifestyle industry highly desired.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign will be given preference.
• Experience with a Content Management System, like WordPress, and basic HTML coding will be given consideration.
• Experience driving a truck and trailer is helpful.
