LONGMONT, Colo.—Aug. 31, 2011—Heel-O-Matic, a division of Pro Equine Group, recently named Megan Grieve as marketing coordinator. Heel-O-Matic is the leading manufacturer of team roping training aids. In her new role, Grieve will oversee the company’s advertising, endorsee relations, sponsorship agreements, trade show coordination, website maintenance and other promotional activities.
Grieve comes to Heel-O-Matic from Colorado State University (CSU), where she was the Equine Sciences program coordinator. At CSU, Grieve focused primarily on marketing, recruitment, outreach and event coordination. This work included organizing and executing the 2011 Legends of Ranching Performance Horse Sale.
Grieve is a 2010 CSU graduate, with an undergraduate degree in Business Management and Equine Science. While there, she focused her studies on supply chain management and entrepreneurship. During that time, Grieve represented the university as part of the winning team at the 2006 American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show Judging Contest. She continues to judge open and 4-H shows across the western United States.
Rodeo roots
In other arenas, Grieve represented her state as Miss Rodeo Colorado 2008. That year, she traveled more than 25,000 miles to promote rodeo and the Western lifestyle and was third runner-up at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant. She also worked two years for the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo as the public relations/marketing assistant. In that capacity, she promoted rodeo and other agricultural activities through social media and television interviews.
Today, Grieve continues to enjoy involvement with the sport as she coaches aspiring rodeo queens and teaches seminars and clinics. She also works behind-the-scenes at rodeos with her family, several of whom compete in Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association events.
