Chase Tryan Joins the Heel-O-Matic Team

LONGMONT, Colo.—October 1, 2012—Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR) qualifier Chase Tryan has joined roping machine manufacturer Heel-O-Matic’s endorsement team.  Tryan, 22, is a professional heeler from Helena, Mont. and has qualified for his first WNFR with team roping partner and Heel-O-Matic endorsee Keven Daniel. Tryan was in a life-threatening car accident several years ago and used a Heel-O-Matic machine to rehabilitate.

“My family pitched in and bought me a Heel-O-Matic after my accident,” says Tryan, “I couldn’t ride, so I stood on a platform and roped the machine during recovery.  I’m very excited to be on the Heel-O-Matic team.”

Heel-O-Matic looks forward to the partnership with Tryan according to Chip Bruegman, the company’s general manager.

“Chase is a young talent who really shows his ability and character in the arena,” says Bruegman.  “We’re glad he joined our team and we are excited to watch him continue to have more and more success in his rodeo and roping career.”

With the addition to the Heel-O-Matic team, Tryan will join over two-dozen accomplished ropers with 35 collective world championships.

Practice to Win with Justin Parish

How would you like to learn how to utilize the Heel-O-Matic to its fullest potential for about the same price as going to a weekend jackpot roping? Heel-O-Matic’s very own professional trainer, Justin Parish, is offering two and three day clinics at your arena anywhere in the United States. Think about it… You can easily spend $200-300 at a jackpot and only rope 12 steers if you’re really good or you could host a clinic and rope four or five times as many steers and learn from Justin how to improve your horsemanship and roping. You will learn all the drills on the Heel-O-Matic and then transfer this knowledge to roping live steers. Justin’s clinics include groundwork on the Bones heading dummy and the Heel-O-Matic, drills on horseback roping the Heel-O-Matic, roping live steers, video coverage and critique and addressing any horse training challenges clinic participants may have. If you are interested in a clinic please take a look at Justin’s website www.justinparishroping.com. Talk to your roping friends (optimum clinic size is eight to ten ropers) and find out if they are interested in improving their roping success.  Then, call Justin at 817-846-6186 or email him at justinparishroping@gmail.com to get more details on clinic cost and available dates for your clinic. Team roping is fun but it’s a lot more fun when you are winning!

Shay Carroll Ropes His Way to Another CNFR

College sophomore Shay Carroll secured his second region All-Around and Heeling titles this spring and is now headed to the 2012 CNFR with partner Tyler Schnaufer.  Shay was on the front cover of the June Rodeo News with a featured article describing his unique friendship and roping partnership with Tyler.  We’re excited for these two and look forward to seeing their names high up in the year-end results this year.

“My roping is ready.  What I’ve been focusing on is seeing, feeling and trusting it and not worrying about the outcome.  I have faith in the fact that I’m prepared.”  Shay credits the movie, “Seven days in Utopia” to helping his pre-game confidence and frame of mind. “I just need to go do my deal! The biggest thing is to stay in your game.”

We have no doubt that Shay’s roping talent and confidence in his preparation and horse will lend him to a successful second CNFR.  To keep up with Shay through the CNFR and his first BFI, check out his Facebook page.

Deep in the Heart of Texas (June 10-16)

We’re excited to be a sponsor of the 2012 THSRA Finals and wish all the qualifiers the best of luck as they vie for championship titles!  We’ll be hosting daily SuperGoat jackpots and Heel-O-Matic practice sessions throughout the event for contestants to have fun during downtime and tune-up prior to competing.  If you’re interested in purchasing a Heel-O-Matic Bones heading dummy, machine or SuperGoat, please call 888-433-5464 to secure the show special (Ground-Driven Trainer: $3,195 picked up at show) and ensure its delivery to Abilene, Texas.

Cowboy Christmas is nearly upon us and Heel-O-Matic is venturing to Reno, Nevada for the Reno Rodeo, Bob Feist Invitational Team Roping Classic and the Reno Rodeo Invitational Team Roping.  Do you live out west or will you be traveling to the event(s)? We’re taking pre-orders and offering a show discount for loyal team roping enthusiasts.  A machine is usually $3,445 shipped to your location, BUT if you order prior to June 14, 2012, you can snag a Heel-O-Matic Ground-Driven Trainer for $3,195, which represents $250 in savings! Trailer space is limited and machines are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. Call 888-433-5464 to order today!

Shay Carroll with Another Big Year-End Win

Congratulations to Heel-O-Matic Pro Team member, Shay Carroll, who finished off his sophomore year of college with another all-around year-end regional title!  Shay joined our team last summer and takes practicing very seriously, focusing most of his efforts on ensuring his horses are working honestly and scoring well.  Here’s his Facebook post following his big win,

‎”2X Central Rocky Mountain Region All Around and Heeling Champion. It takes an entire support group to accomplish things and the people who support me are the best. Thanks to everyone especially my coach, my header Tyler Schnauffer, and most of all my dad! Nothing would be possible without them!”

We’ll be rooting for Shay as he competes at his second CNFR in June, just before taking off to his first BFI!
